The main personal data required to access the platform or participate in the beta program is:

  • email address.

Setup Forge does not require users to provide their first name, last name, physical address, phone number, payment information, or other identifying personal data, unless such data is introduced in the future or voluntarily provided by the user.

Users are encouraged not to submit unnecessary personal data through feedback fields, emails, or other communication channels.

4. Personal Data We Collect

This information is used to evaluate setup quality, improve Setup Forge, fix bugs, refine Race Engineer, improve car and track coverage, and prepare the public launch of the service.

If feedback is submitted by email or through an account connected to an email address, the feedback may be associated with that email address.

4.4 Technical Data

Setup Forge may process minimal technical data necessary for the proper functioning, security, maintenance, and improvement of the service.

Depending on the technical infrastructure used, this may include:

  • technical access logs;
  • date and time of requests;

12. Technical Providers and Data Processors

Setup Forge does not sell users' personal data.

Setup Forge may rely on technical providers necessary to build, host, operate, secure, maintain, and improve the platform.

These providers may process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide their services to Setup Forge.

13. Use of Base44 as Technical Provider

Setup Forge uses Base44 as a technical platform provider for application building, hosting, infrastructure, artificial intelligence capabilities, application programming interfaces, and related technical services.

To the extent Base44 processes personal data on behalf of Setup Forge, Base44 acts as a data processor and Setup Forge acts as the data controller with respect to users' personal data.

Personal data processed through Base44 may include data that Setup Forge chooses to collect or store through the platform, such as:

  • user email address;
  • beta feedback voluntarily submitted by users;
  • technical data necessary to provide and maintain the platform.

Base44 processes personal data to provide its services to Setup Forge and according to the applicable Data Processing Addendum.

Base44 may use authorized sub-processors to provide its services. These sub-processors are subject to data processing terms materially similar to Base44's obligations.

15. International Transfers

Some technical providers used by Setup Forge may process personal data outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland.

Where such transfers occur, Setup Forge relies on appropriate safeguards provided by its technical providers and required by applicable data protection laws.

For example, Base44's Data Processing Addendum provides that cross-border transfers may rely on lawful transfer mechanisms such as:

  • adequacy decisions;
  • the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and applicable extensions;
  • the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses;
  • other approved transfer mechanisms.

Where Standard Contractual Clauses are used, Base44's Data Processing Addendum identifies Ireland as the relevant EU Member State for certain clauses.

Setup Forge will take reasonable steps to rely on technical providers that apply appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal data.

16. Data Retention

Setup Forge retains personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

The email address may be retained for as long as necessary to:

  • manage waitlist participation;
  • manage platform access;
  • manage beta access;
  • send service communications;
  • respond to user requests;
  • comply with legal or technical obligations.

If a user requests deletion, the email address will be deleted or deactivated within a reasonable period, unless legal obligations, security needs, dispute resolution, or residual technical requirements require limited retention.

Beta feedback may be retained for as long as necessary to:

  • improve the product;
  • fix bugs;
  • validate features;
  • document testing outcomes;
  • improve setup generation;
  • improve Race Engineer.

Where possible, beta feedback may be retained in aggregated, anonymized, or non-directly identifiable form.

Where personal data is processed by technical providers such as Base44, deletion may also be subject to technical backup procedures. Backup copies may be retained for limited periods and deleted according to the provider's backup deletion cycles.

Cookie preference data is retained as described in the Cookie Policy.

These measures may include:

  • HTTPS connections;
  • restricted access to systems;
  • protection of administrator accounts;
  • limited access to personal data on a need-to-know basis;
  • use of reliable technical providers;
  • platform security measures appropriate to the nature of the service.

Setup Forge also relies on technical providers, including Base44, which state that they implement technical and organizational security measures designed to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or corruption of personal data processed on behalf of Setup Forge.

However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should also take reasonable care when using the platform and avoid submitting unnecessary personal data in feedback fields.

  • request correction of inaccurate data;
  • request deletion of their data;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to processing;
  • request data portability, where applicable;

To exercise these rights, users can contact:

setupforge@setupforge.net

19. Withdrawal of Consent

For cookie consent, users may withdraw or change preferences through the cookie banner, browser settings, or by deleting local browser data.

20. Children's Data

Setup Forge is not knowingly intended to collect personal data from children who do not meet the age required under applicable law to validly provide digital consent.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services.

Users should review the privacy policies of any third-party services they access.

22. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Setup Forge may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the service, the beta program, applicable law, technical providers, or data processing practices.

In case of material changes, users may be informed through the platform, by email, or through another appropriate channel.

Continued use of the service after the updated Privacy Policy becomes available may indicate acknowledgment of the updated terms, where permitted by applicable law.
